Chrismas gifts to make
There is now plenty of articles on gift giving for Christmas. For both sexes young and old. Adults and Children there are a number of articles including a number of hubs. Here is a list I have come up with of what not to give your man for Christmas. Similarly there are gifts you should not give to a woman. You can find such a list here more...]
socks and undies
Socks and Undies. This is a traditional mistake that is made at Christmas. Even if the man has holes in his socks and undies. A gift of this nature is one of those gifts you should not give if your wanting to get he best response to your gift giving. Usually you will not get the right size or the wrong prefered colour
Ties
A tie is another item I would not buy for a man. Ties are very fickle but so important iitems. Usually a women will get it wrong when choosing a tie for a man She might choose what she thinks is right but the man may actually hate it and it will probable end up in the cupboard unworn. Again choosing a tie for a man is less of a sin than socks and undies but all the same selection of a tie that a man really likes and wants to wear is so so difficult.
Electric Drill
Electric Drill is again another item that may not be appreciated by your man. Unless you really know that this is what your man really wants. Sure if he is a regular handyman and his drill is as old as the hills then I would steer away from buying a tool like a drill. This is especially so if to date your man has shown no interest in DIY.
Cheap or no name after shave. Sure if the male has a favourite after shave which is what he usually uses then go ahead and buy a replacement. It will save him time shopping for something you know he will use. As well he will be reminded of you each time he uses it. Buy the wrong brand and it will be left unused on the shelf.

Men do not like to be given tech, tools or anything that is trendy because they in reality want to pick it. My wife might buy me a compound mitre saw with a solid stand, but how is she going to know the intimacies of the power, type of runners, brand, saw bench height and the like.
Right now, if some one gives me scratchies I am going to rip their eyes out as I have made it clear that I do not support the idea that I will spend 3 hours scratching cards and not myself. I would le to think that a gift has been well thought of, and a gift card with a comment that this is to go to purchase of the "Worlds most outstanding" compound mitre saw is appreciated and will not be lamented as a poor purchase and nor would I direct distance towards the giver should the product not cut mitres on a compound angle!!
To my beloved wife, I do NOT want a compound mitre saw.... But the IPad holder with built in speakers will do nicely. Look on my side table for the brand and store locations!!!
My husband welcomes any kind of new tool such as a drill. But he uses tools everyday of life and always need something to do with building. I always put socks and underwear in his stocking, he seems to appreciate them :). I do agree the cheap cologne is a terrible gift.
Merry Christmas Barry.
A great hub and thanks for sharing
Take care
Eddy.
Old Spice! Oh, yuck! I would hate that too because I'd have to smell it.
Great "bad gifts" list. So true. Men want electronics and food. At least, that's what my man wants.
