This is where I met what I thought would be the woman I would marry; The place I felt sheer joy at being one with nature and one every time I visit I cannot wait to return. The place is used around the year in winter it is a ski resort, Thredbo Village is considered to be the best ski resort in Australia. It has Australia's greatest vertical, at 621 metres, and all the facilities of a major resort. It boasts Australia's highest lift, but also the mainland's lowest base, at just 1365 metres, below the natural snowline.

During the summer months the weather is generally clear blue skies and sunshine without the humidity and stinking heat of the ciites especially during Australlia summer peak temerature period of January and February. There are lots of bushwalks you can go on . The area is so kind to the ears with no hum of traffic or other noise to disturb the peace.

Merlin Fraser apparently there is more snow covered areas in Winter in Australia than Switzerland.
Thredbo is where we ski although unfortunately we can't get there this year. :(( Beautiful shots Barry, now I really want to go. :((((
lovely short piece. I was looking to go skiing for a few days in the next few weeks. Maybe Ill go on Monday. Thredbo is not so easy to get to as Mt Buller from Vic. Lovely to see the snow though.
