"No I haven't seen him either." I retorted.

The Jellyfish rates well among the food critics. The dining room is long. Floor to ceiling double glazed hardened glass overlooks picturesque views of the river. White hulled yachts and ferries come and go gently. The lighting is subdued and warm. White cotton percale tablecloths hang to the floor. Women diners glide to the powder room clutching at their Chanel clutch bags. The back wall is mirrored. Steel grey drapes hang neat and sharp. Behind the bar which is hidden a sommelier held wine glasses up to the light.slowly, one by one, to make sure they were clean. He was not doing this for show. He didn't know I could see his reflection in the mirror.

The send off for Sarah Hansen turned into a very long lunch. It was a eleven minutes to five when we called for the account. We had been there since noon. I was now into my 4th+ glass of Riesling not that i was counting. I was feeling good for the better. A tectonic shift in my outlook was most welcomed. The giggles and chatter at our table had gotten predictably louder over the afternoon. So much so the waiters left us to our own devices and made fewer trips to our table. I always entertained this thought that I was meant to be an upstanding girl of moral virtue, but life seems to be plotting against that.

The volume dropped considerably when the bill arrived. We divided up the bill the total turned out to be one hundred and eighty dollars each. I thought not too bad. A couple of the other girls complained(probably with some justification) that they deserved a lower amount for their consumption. Given the up market venue, sheik crockery & cutlery and starched table clothes. A venue with river views; And given how long we had been there. Case closed.

I meandered down the street and caught a number 82 bus in the direction of home. The82 bus was filled to capacity; Given it was peak hour. Most of the passengers remained silent and were distant in thought to their surroundings. Listening to music on iPod's or Tweeting on their smart phones. One of the passenger s was telling us all in no uncertain terms her weekend Agenda as she barked into her iPhone.

The weekend was drawing close and I had arranged to meet the folks at the country house Birchgrove. I changed into less formal attire. Packed a small bag and caught the 6.31 train to Windsor the nearest station to Birchgrove. I do a check on my handbag and make sure I have all the essentials: lipstick keys, med's, credit cards, cash, Chanel no 5. I dab a bit on the Chanel on my wrists. Okay all good.

I arrive at Birchgrove the family retreat say Hello to Mum giver her a hug and give the folks a big hi everybody then I accept a much needed cup of tea. It has been weeks since I saw the relo's and it feels great just to sight them as much as it does to chat. After finishing my tea I get down to settling in. Putting my things in one of the bedrooms. Mum uncharacteristically yell's out to me and says, "it's the police on the phone they want to speak to you!"

Mr. Rutherford...jokes on me! I was suspicious when I realized you said you had a "hand bag" and thought...ok well maybe the guys in Austrailia do this? Then when you checked for your lipstick? Ah hem....something was wrong! Wooooo! Then it dawned on me...FICTION! I am a little tired and when this popped up on my computer screen I began reading from "No I haven't seen him either" LOL

But after shaking my head and re-reading...I see that you have been working on a fiction prompt and I very much liked it!

What a beautiful view in that first picture! Your description of the scene is perfect. I can imagine its design and decor. The chatty ladies with their magnificent clutches. You take me to the most beautiful places in your creative writing. Now we have police to deal with! Could it be about Rahul?

Again, thank you for continuing the Relay Writing - loving it!
