War in Iraq. How do you feel about it?
50When I was in my teens and twenties I had great respect for the armed forces. In fact I wanted to join and applied a few times to do so. I still respect very much the armed forces and admire the discipline and work that they are assigned to do. However as the years go by more and more I am appalled by the prospect of war and all that comes with it. since 9/11 I believe both the United States Australia & its allies went to war with Iraq on a lie. That lie was that there were in Iraq weapons of mass destruction poised to attack the United States within nine hours and were an imminent threat to the west. I believe we the public were sold a pub. Worse we allowed the United States and its allies to attack or invade Iraq and kill tens of thousands of civilians without any real justification.

This disgrace to civilisation should be done away with at once. Heroism at command,senseless brutality.
deplrable love of country stance,how violently I hate this, how despicable and ignoble war is, I would rather
be torn to shreds than be part of so base an action!

Oh my, I like that hub, but I bet you caught hell from the far right. It probably got voted down by those it made angry. I'll vote it up, but unfortunately, even political hubs that make it to the top, take a lot of dives from those who seriously appose them, and there are always a lot of those, whether the hub is left or right. When it started I was for it. I was deployed to iraq for 12 months. After doing a tour I have realized it is nothing but a sham war. Nothing at all is being accomplished. Pull all the troops out and stop letting our soildiers die for no good reason. Im telling you, nothing out all is being accomplished over their. And as for what about the iraqi and afgahni people. WHO CARES!. There will always be war in the middle east, they are to stupid to stop fighting let them kill eachother the world is a better place without any one of them. Pull the troops out. If they attack again drop every god damn bomb possible on that part of the world and dont stop until nothing stands.

Most people on the planet do not want wars. So why do we have wars ? Because the Bush and alike do want them. And they will never be stopped as long as People do not understand that they have financed all wars including on the nazi side:

Very well said. i am a vet with the Canadian armed forces. I can say with all honesty that both, the attack on Iraq and Afghanistan are nothing more than an act of terrorism, what I hate is now the US gov is aggitating N Korea and Iran. I have a question, why does the US think that they can have stockpiles of Nuclear weapons but Iran is not allowed to enrich uranium for hydro? Even if they did make nucs, so what, maybe they should have them to deter the US from possibly invading them. Anyhow, that is a whole other blog. I hate war, I hate that some governments lie about a nation so they can invade them all so they can rape that nation of its resources.
